In order to obtain food assistance, you must be referred to our services by a local organization, which will assess your situation.
The Réseau d'Entraide des Appalaches (REA) acts as a gateway for requests for food assistance for the northern sector of the MRC des Appalaches.
For an assessment of your needs or a referral, you can call 418 338-2024 (Réseau d'Entraide des Appalaches).
Referrals can also be provided by other organizations in the area, including the Saint-Vincent de Paul Society - Conférence Saint-Alexandre de Thetford Mines (418-335-2302), the CISSS and many community organizations. If you are belong to one of these organizations, you can be referred through them if the organization is recognized by La Vigne.
New users awaiting a referral can exceptionally obtain emergency food assistance by going to La Vigne during a distribution period.

Users can get food assistance once a week by showing up during one of our three weekly distribution periods: Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, from 1 pm. to 3 pm. A contribution of $5 per week is requested from users.
The dietary supplement is provided according to the number of people in the family and food availability.
To obtain frozen or refrigerated products, it is mandatory to bring an insulated bag or cooler, as well as bottles of frozen water or ice packs.
